M47 transmission won't come off.. 200 1991

Remove the CPS for sure. If it's old replace it.
The back of the cylinder head will nearly touch the firewall. To achieve this you should loosen the three nuts at the exhaust manifold to prevent stressing the front part of the exhaust. I use a wooden block at the back of the head sometimes.
With that done, a simple rotation of the trans to the right, and it will move back and drop out nicely.
