Something is leaking - breather box or nipple? 700

92 B230FT turbo in my 90 740

I have a minor vacuum leak on the line that runs from the manifold to the small side of the breather box nipple. Clamping off the hose drops the idle back to normal. I replaced the hose and got no change.

The breather box is a few years older than the plastic nipple. Which is more likely to leak?
Also, can I just plug the small line for a 400 mile drive home? Will there be any ill effects?

Cheers!
