KenC--I'd just like to make one comment regarding your statement "unless the judge also lessens the charge". Just to clarify--what I know of the "justice system" in traffic court (heh, heh) is that a change in charge would come from a conference with the officer (not too high speeder knocked down to "no seat belt") and/or the District Attorney (104mph knocked down to 65). Although I didn't use an attorney in either case that's where one would be advisable. -- Dave
