Fan Switch has Popped out ! looking for advice 900 1994

Hello all. As above.
My Regina 945 bf230 has a replacement radiator with about 5 - 6 years of service. The fan switch popped out yesterday. Can someone tell me the proper installation routine for a new switch and of course a new rubber bushing. It appears the the bushing goes into the radiator first , then the switch/sensor presses into the bushing. I'm surprised the fit can hold up under the pressure of ~ 1 atmosphere!
Is it glued in?
Thanks in advance!
-Keith
