I am curious as to how many motorists encounter this situation.Last August I pulled over to pick up my wife at a beauty salon where she would shortly leave & a N.Y.C. Traffic Enforcement Agent comes by in his squad car,tickets a parked vehicle & hands me a ticket for "Double Parking " while I was still in the drivers seat ! He did not even ask me to move the vehicle first. To top it off the Ticket actually said "NO DRIVER". When I confronted him on this matter he insults my intelligence by saying that since there was "No Activity" in the car on my part that constituites "No Driver" present ! I later spoke to another Traffic agent & he said that was not right. Any how we had a witness sign a statement that I was in the Car behind the wheel & was able to have the ticket dismissed. I see that when the the TEA signed the Ticket ,it says : " I affirm under Penalty of Perjury ( Penal Law # 210.45 ).This would lead me to assume that he would be prosecuted & lose his job over this although then again they would probably have to fire most of the traffic agents in New York City ! Next time around, I will have my Cell Phone Video Camera on & ready next time a Traffic Agent approaches .As for you, T.E.A. D. Gurley....you are a professional Asshat!!
