Ballast Resistors and Bosch Blue Coils 200 1980

Hoping to get a little clarification on Bosch blue coils, and whether or not I need to keep the external ballast resistor as per the original factory setup. Apparently Bosch makes (or at least made) two different versions of the blue coil---one with a built-in resistor, and one without.

After checking prices online, I went ahead and just ordered a new bosch coil from IPD. I figured it was worth paying the few bucks extra for a little piece of mind. The box I received reads 00012, 9 220 081 083 -74u, made in Brazil.

IPD lists this as the correct choice for my rig. FCP, on the other hand, lists a silver Bosch coil (00030, 1219230). Summit also lists a blue 00012 coil, but only for the 140 and 1800 series.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
