Hello everyone. I wanted you guys to know that all is well in Scarola Land! I brought my recently-restored '58 444 (The Old Lady) to Classics on the Green up at the New Kent Winery (near Williamsburg, VA) last fall and won first place for the Volvo category!! (Check it out http://www.classicsonthegreen.com/pages/2011winners.htm.) Boy was I excited! My first event and I took home a nice bottle of red and a ribbon. It was a great event - a little dreary but well worth the trip. A few pics can be found here:

As you can see, the Old Lady is still not 100% complete, but she's GETTING THERE! :) I still have some chrome work at the shop that I hope to pick up this week - maybe tomorrow if I'm lucky. Also, the headliner and flooring needs to be buttoned up. But other than that, she's running great! The wife and I take her out every once in a while on good days to church, or to the beach or just down to the grocery store - about every other week. Boy what a blast she is to drive!
I'm still working on the 444 restoration book too! I've been putting a lot of time into it lately and up to about 18,000 words. Still a lot to do but I do hope to be finished with it this year and ready for the general public by January 2013 - God willing. :)
I hope everyone is doing well and keep up those old ladies!
Sincerely,
Anthony (Tony) Scarola
