Moisture getting into distributor cap 700 1990

I have a 740 GL four cylinder with Regina and it stalls out every time it rains I'm getting moisture in the distributor cap. It's my second distributor cap. It's road mist coming from the road when I'm driving the engine is dry so it's not coming from the weatherstripping around the hood it's just the smallest amount of water gets in there installs out the engine. I've tried to make the gasket out of dielectric grease still no luck. it also happens on hot steamy days when it rains the steam comes up from the ground and get in also. When it happens I take off the distributor cap dry it out and put it back on in the car is fine. Any ideas please help thanks.
