Taillight / brake light issues 1989 240 Sedan 200 1989

My 1989 244 has rear light issues. First the bulb out light comes on when lights are on. Second no left brake light when brake pedal is applied. Third, when left directional is on the right brake light blinks not the left yellow indicator. I have switched out the pronted circiut boards, checked the grounds, bulbs, contacts etc. I replaced the bulb failure sensor but still no luck.
Which one of the brake/taillight bulb sockets is white ? L or R ?
Thanks, Philvo
