intermittent hesitation S90-V90 1998

hello. Its been a long time.

1998. v90. 150k. Car has following symptoms.

1. Occasional non-start, meaning, I have to crank twice for the car to catch and run. Afterwards, no problem. Mostly in the summer months, in the cold weather, the car starts usually first crank.

2. Major problem. While driving, 1-2 times per week, after starting from rest at stop light or stop sign, the car will go, then hesitate for 3-4 seconds. Afterwards, runs just fine. Concerned for safety reason.

Not sure if they are related, but I think so...like there is some fuel delivery problem, or kink, or vacuum loss...I Have no idea...

Please Help. I am bringing in to reputable volvo repair, but, since there are so few of these cars out there, hard to build expertise.

He said he hoped he could find the problem, but because of its intermittent nature, hard to pinpoint...

Thank you for all you help.

Live in beltway in Virginia...
