..and me too. 900

I ordered a steering rack in late 2010 for the S90 from FCP, shown in their online listing as a Jorgen - a rebuilder with a good rep. What showed up was an Atlantic Enterprises unit, which spewed fluid from the steering shaft seal right away. Came close to running dry and frying my PS pump.

In response to my complaint, Mike Rivera stated that when they are out of stock of an advertised item: "I have no choice..." but to supply something else. This is BS. They have a choice to tell the customer and let him make the decision.

Writing to Nick Bauer (owner, I think) got me a sincere apology, a full refund when I returned their unit and partial reimbursement of the labour to R&R their faulty rack with a genuine Jorgen unit, which I ordered directly from Jorgen. I still lost money on labour, shipping, import duties, etc. Things sure were better 10 years ago when Nick was the main man there and fully involved in daily operations.

Now they have gotten big, and hired staff who seem to be driven by the short term bottom line rather than creating good customer relationships.

Maybe we are all getting what we deserve due to everyone cruising the 'Net to bottom feed on the lowest price.
