how hard is it to rewire the harness just at the point of the crank by the oil pain, i have a serious issue. The harness has deteriorated to the point that wires are touching the block and arcing.

Please advise.

This is my only car. Had it for few months. I have had 20 Volvo's in my life but this is the first time i have seen this. It seems the last owner let a cam seal leak get to the point oil had destroyed the plastic coating on the harness resulting in bare wire touching the block just under the main pulley on the crank.
