Rear Suspension Support Arm Rotting out 700

Hey Folks,

On my Sedan that I have put a ton of work into, I am now attempting to do some suspension surgery. The tray that the right rear coil spring sits in, is rotting out and looks dangerous. I'm going to be removing it and replacing with a new volvo part, 1359114. I wondered if there were any words of caution, or advice for this?
Raising the car will remove the pressure on the spring I'm pretty sure, so Spring Compressors are not needed, I was hoping?
