bosal cat ( part number 099937) 200 1992

Has anyone installed this cat recently?

I just received it and I am wondering about the junction between the cat and downpipe. The original Volvo cat had the female side of a flared fitting that fit over the male side of the flared fitting on the downpipe. On either side of the junction there were loose plates (one with bolts, one with holes) that clamped the junction together. The Bosal cat has a flat flange and it did not include any sort of steel doughnut. It doesn't appear like the flange on the cat will accommodate the downpipe.

I am just wondering if anyone has done this and what is required to get it to work?
