Redoing the exhaust, is this CAT still acceptable? 200 1980

I've got the exhaust all torn apart in my Lambda Sond 1980 242. Looked to be an original system, including both mufflers and the CAT.

I'm planning on putting the CAT back performance system from IPD on. I also need to replace a section of the pipe after the header but before the CAT because of a hole.

I took this opportunity to examine my CAT to see what condition it was in. Pictures below.

Here's the question. How bad does this look? Could I reinstall it and save a few hundred dollars? I do know the car has been passing California smog through August of last year, so it must be functional enough for that.

Aftermarket high flow CATS only have a 2 year warranty, so I fear ditching the OEM to replace it with one that dies every 2 years anyway.

What does everyone think of this condition? Despite the pictures, there are no loose pieces, everything is solidly in place.
