Hi guys - my 122 wagon currently has a 2.5" exhaust setup with one small canister muffler right in front of the rear axle. It is a bit too noisy for me like this and I am looking for a way to quiet it down. I took it in today to my local muffler guy, who is a Volvo man himself, and he said that there really was nowhere to fit a second muffler, as everything he could order would be too large, and the only option for quieting it down would be to go with a ready made setup from IPD or similar. Now I know there are people out there running 2 mufflers on these with non-kit setups - so my question is: What mufflers fit and sound good, and where on the underside of the wagon do they go? Photos would be super helpful. I am looking for a smooth, quieter sound, doesn't have to sound stock, but something that sounds smooth and deep and won't make me deaf at 4,000 rpm. Thanks so much!
