Blower motor... replace? 200

Ok, I KNOW its been covered on here, but I am really not in the mood for searching right now (only because I get too easily distracted by other fascinating 240 bits o' info on here). The blower motor just stopped working, in any speed. Is it safe to assume it needs to be replaced or could it be something more simple? What is the best way to diagnose this BEFORE tearing everything apart to pull it? Winter is NOT over yet here in Maine, so I REALLY need this moving air again.

Thanks in advance.
