Floor jack cover

Well, my piece of oak finally cracked. I really like my floor jack, but would like to find a good cover for the business end to keep from scratching the metal parts of the under carriage.

I know, the 4 grooves are intended to keep the car from slipping off the jack. But, I also don't like the steel going against the undercoating and giving rust a chance to start.

Anyone have a solution? Either bought or home made? Forget using a 4X4 piece of lumber, I want to permanently mount the device and have it 'slip proof'.

Thanks,

Klaus
