1990 mod 740 driveability problem 700

i'm reminded again that many driveability problems can be traced vacumn leaks in aging rubber hoses and connectors. my old girl was intermittantly hesitating on acceleration from a stop for some time. the situation deteriorated resulting in engine check light, code 121, MAP sensor input. my 740 has a regina system.

i checked the MAP system finding the rubber connecters at the sensor and the intake manifold dry and cracked. i replaced them with connecters i found at autozone (who knew!). $5.00 and 15 minutes later the car now runs better than it has for quite a while. wish it was always this easy.

just a reminder, check those hoses, you might find a cheap easy solution.

keep'em rolling, chris
