B20 overheating 120-130

Just flushing probably won't do much on a 50 year old radiator.
Odds are high that there is crud built up on the inside of the tubes that will not just flush out.
Options include having it rodded out (don't know if anyone still does that) or getting a new radiator or having one custom built.

After you're radiator is cleaned be sure you use the proper style thermostat. There is a difference.

But as Phil says, if you are not getting flow through the radiator without any thermostat, a new thermostat will do nothing to change that.
