volvo 240 starter solenoid? 200 1993

Strange issues, some time back my 240 would not start, just some clicking when i would turn the key coming from the starter. I hit the solenoid with a long pipe while my wife had the key turned to start. And she started. So i had the solenoid replaced, i could not afford a complete starter at the time. Anyway everything was good for about 2 months then today out of the blue, the same exact issue but only when the car is cold. Once im able to get it started by turning the key over and over back and forth the starter will keep working as long as i don't let the car cool down. Also, right after i had the solenoid replaced last time the wiring from the alt bunt up and i replaced that my self. Find my other post about that.

Am i looking at a new starter or something else. Ignition switch?
