Highest MPG ever 200 1990

I drove our 90 model 5 speed wagon on a two day trip almost exclusively on the interstate. I drove 60 to 65 MPH and coasted down every hill. Traffic was light and if no one was behind me I would let the car coast to 55. The trip was round trip and I filled the second time at the same place and pump. The odometer has a 1% error compared to my gps.

808 miles on 24.8 gallons

32.6 MPG

The car has the LH 3.1 FI system.

I am surprised! The car has 272,000 miles on it and is in tune and well maintained.

The very most I can get in my 88 is 26 at a steady 60 MPH.

Anyone else seen mileage like this?

Hawk
