Hi Phil,

A neighbor of yours (broadly speaking) found a bunch of them on the defunct chip market for his cluster refurbishing biz. No, this is not in a league with consumer electronics repair parts; quantities much smaller, comparatively. Oh, and for Jon, I missed one of his questions -- that of the symptoms. When the tach wire introduces its 100+ volt flyback excursions from the coil, it wipes out the odometer portion of the chip, leaving the car with no odometer, no cruise, and the fuel ECU if '89+ with no off-idle feedback, so it sets a DTC 311 and you get idle craziness.
