Hello, I bought a 1991 240 back in January, the owner said it wouldn't pass smog due to a bad cat and they didn't want to put money into it so they sold it to me. I had a friend check it out and he thought it was a great car. Anyway, 3 months later and the car has been nothing but problems. The radiator cracked and lost most of the coolant, I noticed the smoke right away and pulled over but some damage may have been done and messed it up more than it was before. I am not burning oil, and I'm not finding any coolant in the oil either, so I've ruled out a blown headgasket.
The problem I am having started right after that, the car will bog/stall when I press on the throttle from idle. If I slowly press the gas pedal, it will go rev up and around 2000 rpm's it will gain power, but if I give it too much gas it will stall and flood the motor with fuel. The spark plugs have fouled twice in the last month due to flooding. I have swapped out and replaced the MAF, Flame Trap, ECU, FPR, ECT sensor, O2 sensor, Cap/Rotor, Catalytic Converter, spark plugs, wires, and Ignition Coil. I've cleaned the TB, IAC, Fuel pump fuses and connectors. I've adjusted the TPS and also double checked the timing and that was perfect. I just did a compression test and it read 120PSI at every cylinder. Also, the vacuum line from the flame trap has come off twice, which leads me to believe there is some blow by. I checked the FP Relay and it clicks when I turn the key, so that seems to be working properly.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
