91 940se suddenly died now will not start 900

My well cared for 1991 940 se sedan cut its engine on the way home from its 30 mile commute.
Bypassed the fuel pump relay and heard the whinning under the driver side and heard liquid flowing when listening at the gas cap.
Tried starting whith pump relay bypassed. No luck just a sputter then nothing.
Switched the fan and fuel injector relays tried starting. No.
Checked the obd. Reports 111 on both 2 and 6 holes.
Checked fuses.
Checked and saw spark.
Pulled one spark plug. It was dry.
Tried removing number one fuse for 30 minute to reset the computer.
Sputtered when tried to start then nothing.
Can't really afford a tow a shop visit right now.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprecieated.
Thanks for all the other posts that got me this far. I am pretty new and unsure if what I hear the pump doing is what it means.
Not sure if I have a hall sensor.
