Fixed! 200 1992

Problem fixed. A new brake light switch solved the problem. I took out the instrument cluster, knee bolster, and sound deadening insulation down by the pedals. I also removed the front driver's seat.

The repair went ok. I used a 17mm wrench to loosen the nut on the back side of the switch from below. Then I loosened and removed the nut and lock washer from through the instrument cluster opening.

The aftermarket switch does not look as robust as the original part. I hope it lasts 20 years. I don't want to do this job again.

All is working well.
