Overdrive binding up on reinstallation 1800

Hello,

That is actually good news then, only in as much as that you do not have take the 4 speed part of the transmission apart, but only remove the overdrive.

Must mean you did a good job of not moving the rear bearing assembly with the mainshaft when you pulled the old adapter.

We recently had to replace an adapter a few months ago, and to avoid the mainshaft from moving, the transmission was placed nose down so gravity would keep the mainshaft from moving.

Bummer that you had the problem to begin with though.
