Having joined the "replace a broken clutch cable in the mall parking lot" club I have a question. Neither my 90 240 DL (cable donor) nor my 91 240 seem to have any kind of return spring underneath. Last night I noticed that IPD does sell a return spring that hooks to the transmission crossmember. Was I supposed to have one of these on either or both 240's or was that for earlier models with M46? The 90 did have that big weight thing and I think the 91 did also before it dissapeared with the lower end of the clutch cable.
