scratch and haze on windshield - any hope? 1800

Hi all,

1970 P1800E.

It looks like something sharp on the wiper left a semi-circular scratch on the windshield.

Is there any way to repair this?

In addition, there is a whitish haze around the bottom edges of the windshield. Can this be removed or is this just due to age?

I'm trying to decide whether it is worth it to replace the windshield with a new one. I think I can live with the white haze, but the scratch is annoying.

thanks all.
