testing 1987 245 - no run? 200

Hello:
I live in a subdivision where some people dislike older cars. My 1987 245 has been parked in drive about 6 months, started regularly, idles or short move for 10 minutes to keep good to go, plated, charging battery, tires inflated, etc. Recently I had a mystery problem with other car and THEN the 245. Car cranked but no start. 25a in line fuse was broken but not blown. No previous problems. Then wouldn't start except with starting ether. Would not stay running. Old gas but some Stabil, added 4 gallons? new gas to bring to half full, also changed rotor, still won't stay running. Battery is great but took off cables, cleaned and tightened, etc.to make sure. LF tire went flat same day, won't hold air, can't find leak yet, no previous leak problems, unplugged/replugged f/p relay, can't hear f/pump but relay and f/pump and filter 4 years? and 10k miles. Prepump is old but never any problems. Again, 2 days before everything just fine. I doubt coincidence but not sure where to look 1st. Again, now will try to start w/spray ether but then dies. Several attempts, used 90% 0f spray can, lots of gray smoke. 1 guy down street knows older Volvos. Check fuse 6? Comments? Thanks.
