Although this is indeed a lovely sentiment, I can't fully agree...

We can not assume that people are stupid. They are not.

People make mistakes. In this context, maybe they are running a little late. Maybe there's an urgent issue.

Who knows besides them?

Just forgive them for whatever unknown reason it may be that they screwed up.

I just hope others will treat me the same when I make a mistake.

People are great. People are smart. Smart, great people make mistakes....
