Idle Issues 200

I just completed the AW71 to M46 change over on my 85 244ti and when I am Up shifting it takes about 2.5 sec. for the RPM's to drop. Now 2.5 sec. doesn't seem like a long time but between shifts it seems like forever and if you shift to early the car bucks which is annoying.

I've had other cars that were 3-4 speeds (older cars) in the past and it just seemed to have a quicker response for the RPM's to drop between shifts.

So is this normal or is this something I can change?
