Just to be sure: there are no fault codes to be found on a LH2.2 system? 200 1986

Because, not knowing this, I called a Volvo repair place in my town to see if they could get any fault codes from my vehicle, and they said that they could probably do so; I wasn't talking to the head mechanic or anything, just a secretary. I told her the year and the lack of OBD, she seemed to think it was just a matter of time/labor, approximately a half hour (or 57 bucks out here).

Now that i've hopped onto google I see that she was probably wrong? No hope for us LH2.2 guys huh? Just wondering before I go crazy, thanks
