B18B running issue 140-160

Battery is pretty strong. Cranks real fast. No leakage out bottom HIF6. I put in new float cover O-rings.

Last night I checked the valves. I'm getting full movement across all valves.

Checked oil in the dashpots.

Unconnected the brake booster but left flame trap and PCV connected. Seemed help a bit.

Got it started after lots cranking. Had to let sit for extended period with full choke otherwise it stalled. Jets are almost at full rich and it still feels very lean. Took it for a short ride. Once in motion it was ok. During shifts I had to baby throttle till it leveled out. Felt like it was running lean. On turn around I had to use choke to keep it from stalling.

These HIF6 from a B20 came with the BAL needle. I'm wondering if I need a richer needle? I'm running what I think is a later B20 manifold that has no secondaries or mixing chamber.
