140 GT cluster tach and 75 dizzy 140-160

I have a 140 GT Cluster I'm putting in my '68 144. I had it in before and found the fuel gauge was broken. I took it back out and put thhe original cluster back in. Got a replacement fuel gauge and replaced ay bulbs that were out.

Since the GT cluster was out I located and installed a '75 electronic dizzy. Its the complete setup with the external ballast on the coil. I have it installed and working.

Will the tach from the GT cluster work with the '75 dizzy setup? When I had the cluster installed before the tach had a wire going to it from the cluster. The other connector on the tach had a single wire that went out to the negative terminal on the coil. Not sure if this will still work and didn't want to risk damaging the tach.
