Sudden Engine Stop: 1993 Volvo 940 900

My 1993 Volvo 940 engines suddenly stops after running very smoothly for only a few minutes. The car will not restart immediately but if left to cool for a few minutes it will restart. I remain uncertain about the cause. A few years ago, I replaced the crankshaft position sensor... but I do not belive that it is the CPS. I checked the OBD. Codes were 1-1-1 for both Ignition System and Fuel System, i.e., no fault detected. If it were the CPS, the ODB would indictae as such. Could it be an intermittent fuel pump relay? Other? I have never experienced a sudden engine stop like this.

I would greatly appreciate any advice. This car has been a gem!

Many thanks,

Only Volvo
