I have only seen some posts on MSD in passing on TB..could you give an explanation/reasoning behind what parts you chose to use, how you installed them, etc etc? Pricing might be nice too - and any disadvantages.
Mike, I had some issues producing a good idle and more ignition problems. I Know an awesome Volvo mechanic that suggested to do the MSD box. I chose the particular parts after calling MSD tech support. They explained to me everything that this performance ignition would do for me and which parts I needed. I ordered them from Summit Racing because they offered a Military Discount which saved me some money. I believe the coil was $36. and the box was $170. The instructions are all there and very easy. About 3 wires you actually have to hook up.


Are you running the factory tach? Is there a noticable improvement in idle quality? Which model MSD are you running?

Yes. Yes. MSD 8207 Blaster 2 coil. MSD 6201 Digital Ignition Control.
