More questions regarding ABS rear -end(1992) in non-ABS car (1988) 200 1988

I asked this question last week thinking the rear end came from a 1991 without ABS, but it now turns out, it was out of a 1992- with ABS of course. Art had answered that there was a conversion box used with some 1991 models with the ABS rear-end and the old K10042 speedometer. When I went today to get it, I then found that the young man had pulled it from the wrong vehicle. Totally my fault, I had three there and said I want the rear end out of the 240 sedan ... not saying what color or year. One of them had no rear end, so that made it a 50-50 chance, and with my luck it was the wrong one.

Okay now, my NEW question...I have the newer speedometer cluster as well (K40168). Can I just install it and all be okay?? I read that there is a couple wires on the L-plug that need to be swapped -- which two? And is there a conversion box or anything else I have to, or need to, have? Also, can I just replace the tachometer from the old car into the new cluster? Really like my large Tach and the small clock.

Sorry to be a pest, but I have got to keep this old girl going.

Thanks again guys, and Sorry Art for my leading you down the wrong road!
