Hi Miles,
Even though it is like over seven years since you posted on this matter or brickboard matter....
I now have a made by Alpine equalizer "EQ-6016" found in the Volvo 780. The DIN plug and most of the cable were cut off as some aftermarket radio was in the car (on the floor) when I encountered it last week.
The "EQ-6016" cable connect electronically into the DIN plug marked EQ or Equalizer on the aft of your TD-6141. I'm not sure as I dunno what the DIN plug is that came with the "EQ-6016" (five or eight pin for equalizers in RWD Volvos, "EQ-2111 is an EQ that includes a Sound Effector {reverb} with a five-pin DIN plug that connects to the stereo).
The "EQ-6016" includes a audio spectrum display yet is still a five band EQ.
The "EQ-6016" chassis is a full DIN size. The faceplate is larger then single DIN. I'm not sure you can fit the "EQ-6016" chassis in the 700 series center dash EQ cubby. You have the lighter to the left of that vertical space. Volvo "EQ-211(?)" and "EQ-2111" are much smaller (narrower) chassis.
So you may need to perform some modification.
As the "EQ-6016" I have has DIN cable cut off, I'm going to finger out audio ins and out and the electrical connections. With a ripple free +12 VDC supply, I may use on the old Pioneer SX-3700 that current drives four HT-161 speakers (slowly replacing the HT-161 drivers). The audio spectrum display may be too much bling for the owld Volvo I own.
Very little stated about the made by Alpine Volvo "EQ-6016" else-wheres on the i-net.
Hope that helps.
