Hello Planetman:

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, original style radiator with fill cap on main unit, pressure cap on the plastic tank.

I will look into the pressure tester but after posting last night I did some additional investigation and it appears there might in fact be a crack on the lower part of the neck that connects to the upper hose.

Is that something that can be welded? I do not weld but a good friend does it quite well. Any tricks I should know?
