radiator (85 245) 200 1985

I have a relatively new radiator. 2-3 years old.

On my drive today, the top plug on the RIGHT side of the side tank, blew out.

It's not the threaded plug, but the top one (if you go to IPD's website, or search for it, you can see what i mean.

It would be the one right below the port for the reservoir. Nothing goes into it or comes out of it. there is a rubber washer (? for lack of a better word) that is there. The plug fits inside of that.

Anywho, what could cause that plug to come out? My engine wasn't overheating any, my fluid level was fine, and it's not like I was driving hard.

Would a compression plug (rubber plug with a bolt in it that compresses) work?
