No spark. What gives. 200 1987

Hi all. I'm at a loss right now. Last friday the car ('87 245) died while idling. We could not get it started. No spark. I've done the tests as mentioned in Bentley and a flow chart i found on these forums. So far, i know my coil is good (tested it in another car), cap/rotor good, ICU good. Hall effect sensor.. no idea. The test for that(jumpering terms b/c) resulted in no spark but i heard the fuel pump activate. I tested the fuel/main relay and it's good. Spark plug wires are good, as is the coil wire. I just don't know what to test now. Could the Hall effect sensor be dead even though I didn't get spark via the test? Do they die suddenly? Ideas?

Thanks,

Cnaw
