240 front brake job, Girling 200 1978

Replacing front rotors, cleaning calipers (Girling), and replacing pads on 78 242. I have the front right reassembled, and am about to start on the left.

Caliper and disc fit is tight, to the point the rotor has trouble spinning. I pushed the pistons as far out as I could while cleaning and before fitting the pads. Will this be corrected when I bleed the brakes, or should I pull it back apart and sand down the pads? (This is my first brake job.)
