new camshaft? VX? A? 200 1993

So I'm considering getting a new cam for my 240 and was hoping to get opinions.

I know scorron put an A cam in his 240--I drove it once and remember liking it, but it's been several years. In general, I'm not unhappy with how the car drives (I never drive "modern" cars, so the 240 doesn't really seem slow or underpowered to me), but still, I'd like to be able to make it up a hill at a normal speed.

Does anyone have any experience with the VX cams from IPD? Are they worth the $215? The other option would be an A cam, assuming I can find one.

Also, I have a '93, so the adjustable timing gear isn't available; is it still worth doing without that?

So, what says the brickboard? Is a new cam a worthwhile investment?
