I was able to tap it flush with a hammer.

Definitely missing the nut. I wonder what size nut it takes?

They're usually reputable, but man they charge a crap ton and don't give much in the way of estimates and the like.

I ordered and paid for the fan clutch myself and they still charged me 400 bucks. I was like, man, I could've fixed it myself (I think I could have) if I'd known they'd charge that much. They replied--well, we're authorized Volvo people and we're pros and we do it so it doesn't screw up.

I'm not going back.

I'm gonna take it this time to a guy in Silver Spring. I hear he's great.
