Any problems with installing TWO front main oil seals? 200 1980

A while back, I wrote about a leaky front main crank seal after a rebuild. The first disassembly revealed it had been installed too far forward, and was riding on the front taper of the crank. I removed the front cover and pushed the seal back.

Now, I still have a leak, albeit much smaller. I surmise I may have damaged the seal or pushed it back onto grime, compromising the seal.

I plan to remove the cover again and thoroughly clean before installing a NEW seal. However, last time I looked, the flange on the front cover looked plenty deep to support the installation of TWO seals.

Part of me is thinking, why not install two? They're cheap, could offer extra leak protection, and I can't think of a reason not to.

Any thoughts on this, and where to buy the seals? I live close to IPD so will probably get their orange silicone variant unless people say otherwise.
