87 240 A/C Rebuild 200

I have a 240 that I've had for about 10 years. I'm trying to get it restored a bit so I can start driving it again (it's been sitting for about 6 years with little to no driving). It starts and runs very well after a few basic repairs. I have a few more parts to put on like new shocks and bushings, but would really like to get the A/C working again. I can handle most of the mechanical repairs but I'm at a loss for where to get started with the A/C. The compressor doesn't currently have a belt on it to I'm assuming it's locked up. The line is cut also. I don't know how to test the accumulator either.

As I said I'm basically starting from the beginning in a attempt to get my A/C working again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I believe I have to convert the A/C to current generation A/C so I can recharge it easier and obviously I won't be getting any free-on anywhere.

Thanks
