Out of nowhere, idling poorly, bucking under throttle?? 200

My 93 245 (with 160k miles) has been running the same (good) since I bought it in 2008. I've never had any trouble with it. The other night after a party I went to start it and it almost died. The idle would go low like it was about to die and then rev up. This repeated and eventually cleared up and I drove the car home. Almost like a vacuum leak somewhere, but not that I can tell.

To attempt to rectify this, I pulled the IAC motor and cleaned it with CRC contact cleaner internally to get any carbon out of there. I cleaned the MAF sensor. I installed new OEM bougicord plug wires, bosch rotor and cap, and bosch copper plugs. In fact, after doing this the car ran beautifully, smoother than ever.

So I drove to work and it went great. Then when I tried to go home at lunch the car didn't want to idle and in fact, the check engine light flashed once. I made it home OK but noticed that the car hesitates and recovers when you're giving it throttle in 2nd gear primarily.

So I started cleaning and applying dielectric grease to all of the electrical connectors I could think of. Fuel injectors, MAF sensor, IAC motor, TPS..

Should I be looking elsewhere? I pulled most of the vacuum lines and verified nothing was cracked. My primary fuel pump kinda buzzes/whines every now and again. I don't have a fuel pressure tester otherwise I'd check fuel pressure.

I'm going to attempt to find my Bentley manual and re-educate myself on pulling codes from the computer under the hood.

I'm just fishing for ideas on other things to check. I had about half a tank of gas and refilled with 91 octane at a different station thinking maybe something was wrong with my fuel. But it's still behaving the same way. ie: most people would continue to drive the car, but I know something is amiss.

Is there a way to test the TPS? It almost seems tied to throttle signal and/or fuel injection. But again I'm curious about the fuel pump itself...

Thanks for any thoughts!
