I have a real hard time thinking Volvo messed up that badly on the data plate. That late of a PV should have had the type code and chassis number stamped into the body. Have you looked at the stamps in the body? Do they match the data plate? The stamping is on the fire wall below the fuse box, normally hidden by the wires coming out of the fuse box.
