Doing the Springs/TAB... 200 1989

We used Febi Bilstein for the rear TAB which seem to be OEM. I still don't understand all this Tasca talk. I know people on th BB love to name drop them, but i still wouldnt pay for dealership parts, online or not. With a little research its easy to find the OEM parts sans the Volvo name and at more than half the price. If i wanted a dealership part, I'd go to the dealership. Plenty of local ones.
But Everything came off and went back on, eventually. I used the same bolts, and nuts, no threadlocker and torqued everything after the weight of the car was back on its wheels. I see no need for an alignment. It drives better than before, and i would save an alignment for any front suspension work. I also doubt a common shop would loosen every suspension bolt when doing an alignment. I wouldnt trust them to do this either. I highly doubt they would take the time to re-torque every bolt to its proper lb-age. They would impact it on, and Id never be able to get it off again. The only other thing i would have liked would have been ramps. To back the car up on these would have made the final torque down simple. In a perfect world a trench or lift would have been great, but i also would have taken 40 dollar ramps. I drive a 240 because Im thrifty. I enjoy doing the work myself, and I love the brickboard, its advice and the parts network. I dont think Tasca is the end-all to my parts search. I dont want to pay out the nose for fancy chemicals and lubricants either. Normal dinosaur oil works fine in my engine, along with a Mann filter. I understand how to do a job right, and know my limitations.
